Nasser Al-Attiyah wins the Kazakhstan Rally

After a big scare yesterday during the fifth stage of the Rally from Kazakhstan, Nasser Al-Attiyah (Toyota) made it happen this Saturday by winning the event counting for the Rally Raid World Cup.

The Qatari, winner of the last Dakar, controlled the sixth stage, finishing third, 1'56" behind the day's winner Bernhard Ten Brinke (Toyota), best time of the stage ahead of Stéphane Peterhansel (Mini), 1' behind. 39”.

Al-Attiyah ultimately won the event ahead of Peterhansel and Jakub Przygonski (Mini), who conceded more than 13′ today. The main favorites will meet at the beginning of October for the Rallye du Maroc, the season finale.
