The happiness of one person causes the misfortune of others. Starting from pole, Olivier Panis (DRP) outrageously dominated this second Super Final of the weekend at Isola 2000. The former driver of F1 was more than two seconds ahead of Franck Lagorce (MRacing) and was heading towards victory. But its mechanics wanted it otherwise.
Victim of power cuts shortly after the third loop, Olivier Panis quickly lost his lead over Franck Lagorce. Aware of his counterpart's problems, the MRacing driver did not hold back and stole the race lead to achieve his first success this season.
Behind, the gap melts like snow in the sun. In turn, Jérémy Sarhy (Sébastien Loeb Racing) and Yann Ehrlacher (MRacing) scold Olivier Panis who somehow finishes in 5th place ahead of Christophe Ferrier (DRP).
Despite this penultimate place during the Super Final, Olivier Panis won Race 2. Author of good qualifications, the 54-year-old driver pocketed more points at the end of this 2nd day at Isola 2000. In the end, he is ahead Franck Lagorce and Jérémy Sarhy thanks to 64 units against 62 for the winner of the day's Super Final.
Winner of the first race, Jean-Baptiste Dubourg (DA Racing) finished second in the Final of Race 2 behind Aurélien Panis (Saintéloc Racing).
In the general classification, Jean-Baptiste Dubourg maintains the lead with 227 points. Aurélien Panis is second by only two points. Yann Ehrlacher is third, eight lengths behind.
