Peu and Bouliou neck and neck in Lessay

The 2019 champion is here! On board his Peugeot 208 WRX, Samuel Peu dominated the first day of the 3rd round of the 2021 season of the French championship rallycross in Lessay.

Author of the best times in the two qualifying heats (2'29"587 then 2'36"491), the reigning champion is ahead of Laurent Bouliou (Peugeot 208 WRX) and Romuald Delaunay (Citroën DS 3 WRX). At the end of this first day of racing on the Channel side, the three men have respectively 100, 90 and 80 points while there are still two qualifying rounds to go before the semi-finals.

Back in the French championship and entered in Supercars with the Peugeot 208 WRX of DA Racing, Julien Fébreau is on the verge of the Top 3 before the most important events of the Normandy weekend. Eighth in Q1, he ended the day in style with the 3rd fastest time in Q2 and a 4th place overall.

Supercars category ranking

In Super1600, Jimmy Terpereau (Citroën C2 S 1600) stood out as the fastest man of the day. Fourth on the Q1 timesheet, he raised the tone by setting the best time in Q2 to take the lead in his category this Saturday evening near Lessay. Anthony Paillardon (Skoda Fabia) and David Moulin (Dacia Sandero) are hot on his heels before Q3 and Q4 on Sunday.

Top 10 in the Super1600 category

In Division 3, it is very close since the first 9 drivers are separated by only 15 points. Untouchable with his Mercedes Class A with which he won the two qualifying rounds of the day, Nicolas Beaucle is on track to achieve his first victory in the French championship. Be wary all the same since the weather could thwart his plans after a day on Saturday when the rain did not finally appear. In 2nd and 3rd positions, Anthony Lanoë (Volkswagen Polo) and Jules Maizel (Renault Clio) remain in ambush for success this Sunday.

Top 10 Division 3

While two qualifying rounds were on the program for Division 4 of the French Rallycross Cup, the competitors were finally called to compete in a third. Thanks to his second position in the latter, Sébastien Le Ferrand (Peugeot 208) is alone in the lead with 133 units.

In the tough during the first two qualifying rounds with the 4th and 7th times, Anthony Mauduit (Renault Clio) took the opportunity to get closer to Sébastien Le Ferrand. Winner of Q3, the Montsurventais (Montsurvent in La Manche) came back to six lengths behind his rival before Q4 and the semi-finals this Sunday.

Division 4 ranking

In the Juniors, everything is still to play for even if Arthur Le Boudouil (Renault Clio V RX) positioned himself as the strong man of this first day with the 3rd and 1st times of the first two qualifying heats. Runner-up this Saturday evening, David Bouet (Renault Clio V RX) has not said his last word and should pull out all the stops this Sunday with a view to the semi-finals.

Junior Ranking

Very lively on the track, the Coupe de France Féminine was not lacking in action this Saturday in Lessay. Fourth in the championship after the first two meetings of the season at Châteauroux and Essay, Alizée Pottier (Renault Twingo) put on a great show for the several thousand spectators present around the circuit.

Only 6th in Q1, the Sarthoise did not give up and continued with the best time in Q2 before ranking 2nd behind Camille Barbe (Renault Twingo) during Q3, thus ending the day ahead of her rival.
