Prost: “Not a good operation”

Alain Prost, fighting with Jean-Philippe Dayraut during the first rounds of the Andros Trophy, could not count on the end-of-year holiday break to get closer to its rival. Worse, the Professor scored and saw the Skoda driver pile up on points, taking the lead in the general classification. From now on, the final victory is moving away, especially since the Dacia Duster was capricious this weekend.

« It?s good to finish on the podium, but we didn?t do a good job this weekend », admitted Alain Prost at the end of the second race on Sunday. “ Even before the first tests, we knew that the quality of our tires would be a handicap. In addition, we were not at the best with engine operation and chassis settings. All these elements combined never allowed us to keep pace with our main opponent. Today (Sunday) we bet everything on the second qualifying round, but that did not allow us to claim victory? »

There is little time left for Team Dacia to turn things around since competition resumes this Saturday in Lans-en-Vercors.
