The rally stars face off this weekend in Lohéac where the seventh round of the European Rallycross Championship is taking place. Petter Solberg set the benchmark time at the end of free practice.

Petter Solberg set the best time at the end of free practice at Lohéac. At the wheel of his Citroën DS3, the 2003 world champion WRC clocked a lap of 38 on the 012 meter track mixing dirt and asphalt. Kris Meeke is the closest, his Peugeot 208 pointing only 0 »146 from the Norwegian. Jean-Philippe Dayraut is on the pace since his 207 WRC is only 0 behind the Irishman. Sebastian Loeb is also at the forefront with its DS3. The nine-time world champion took fifth place just behind Timmy Hansen's DS3.

The leader's rival Timur Timerzyanov (Citroën DS3) can hope to take the lead in the Championship at the end of the weekend since the Russian only achieved the 17th fastest time of the session with more than a second behind the time. by Petter Solberg. Davy Jeanney can also claim the title since he is 21 units from the head of the Drivers classification. The Frenchman set the 18th fastest time of the session at the wheel of his C4 WRC. Jérôme Grosset-Janin was quicker with his Renault Clio 3 since it took eighth place behind the DS3s of Liam Doran and Alexander Hvaal.

The first two qualifying rounds will be contested this afternoon.
