If Fabien Pailler was the French champion of Rallycross provisionally, the French Motor Sport Federation confirmed the results of the season after investigation. The outcome of the Championship remained in suspense following a fuel check canceling the second place of the Pailler Compétition driver obtained in Pont-de-Ruan (Indre-et-Loire).
The FFSA ultimately had to correct the sanction since other Supercars cars were tested with non-compliant gasoline even though the fuel was approved by the FIA.
“These new analyzes and results tend to prove that these compliance problems go beyond the pilots concerned, comments the double French champion. For our team, it is a real relief to be able to publicly confirm that there has not been the slightest desire to rig the sporting reality of the French championship. »
“It's always unpleasant to see all our efforts brought to naught by things over which we had no control whatsoever. We reiterate our confidence in the FFSA as well as in the various suppliers so that they can resolve the problems observed this year. Our team has always attached great importance to achieving victories on the sporting field without ever resorting to methods that do not comply with the regulations set by sporting authorities., added Fabien Pailler.
