Timmy hansen moved on after his disillusionment with Abu Dhabi, where the Team Hansen MJP driver was unable to defend his chances until the end of the weekend for the opening of World RX 2019.
The Nordic driver dominated the day's two qualifying rounds on the Montmelo track in Barcelona and logically emerges at the top of the general classification at the end of this first Catalan day.
Kevin Hansen allows Team Hansen MJP to sign the double by taking two second places today and is ahead of Timur Timerzyanov (Hyundai – GRX), author of two third places in Q1 and Q2.
Andreas Bakkerud (Audi – Monster Energy RX Cartel) ranks 4th ahead of Krisztián Szabo (Audi – EKS Sport). Cyril Raymond (Renault Clio RS – GCK Academy) takes a promising provisional sixth place ahead of Janis Baumanis (Ford Fiesta – Team STARD).
Getting off to a good start in Q1 with a fourth place, Guerlain Chicherit (Renault Megane RS RX – GC Kompetition) could not do better than 12th in Q2 and is in 8th place in the provisional ranking, in a position to qualify for the semi-final.
After his roll in Q1, Hervé Knapick (Citroën DS3) did not compete in Q2.
