David Meslier facing Marc Laboulle

David Meslier, crowned with his title in 2008, will pilot his Renault Clio II RS « WRC » from last year while waiting for the Clio III which will arrive in the middle of the season. Facing him, Marc Laboulle will try to take his revenge to win a first title in the premier category. He will have his faithful Citroën Xsara “WRC” at his disposal.

Like last year, Meslier will have an engine equipped with the 45 mm turbo flange, while Laboulle will keep the small 40 mm flange, but the latter has a car 80 kilograms lighter.

Faced with this duel of titans, other drivers want to try to climb to the highest step of the podium. Jean June (Peugeot 206 “WRC”), Hervé Knapick (Peugeot 207 “WRC”) and Jérôme Grosset-Janin (Citroën C4 “WRC”) seem to be best placed.

Eleven cars are expected at Dreux in D1.
