Davy Jeanney returns to world level

The long period of absence observed by Davy Jeanney en Rallycross will end on the Lohéac circuit (Ille-et-Vilaine) on September 1st and 2nd. Le Tourangeau announced Wednesday morning that he would make his first race in 11 months during the French round of the World Rallycross Championship (World RX), aboard the Peugeot 208WRX purchased this summer by the Pailler Compétition team.

“I can’t wait to compete again in front of all my fans”, wrote the 31-year-old pilot. Davy Jeanney finds a car he knows like the back of his hand. Indeed, it was aboard the supercharged Lioness that he competed in two seasons in World RX as a Peugeot factory driver with the Hansen team, in 2015 and 2016 (5th with two victories and 12th).

Disembarked at the start of 2017 to make way for Sébastien Loeb, Davy Jeanney had simply completed a race in Estering (Germany) with DA Racing replacing Jean-Baptiste Dubourg. His best place internationally is a position of vice-European champion in 2013 behind Timur Timerzyanov, when World RX did not yet exist.
