Grosset-Janin: “I had the answers to my questions”

Jérôme Grosset-Janin had not been behind the wheel since last year when his collaboration with GCKompetition suddenly ended when he had just won a podium in Höljes (Sweden). His participation in the first Titans RX meeting last weekend on the Ducs circuit in Essay (Orne) was therefore a homecoming for the Frenchman.

“I was trying to find answers to the questions I was asking myself, confided Jérôme Grosset-Janin to AUTOweekly. I was able to return to high-level competition with a field worthy of the one we had in the world championship. I wanted to see if I could rediscover the pleasure and desire to run and that was the case. yes, I missed it. »

Jérôme Grosset-Janin was not content to make up the numbers since he played in the two finals of the weekend, landing a podium on Saturday.

“I discovered the car on Saturday morning and was on the podium at the end of the day. It was a nice get back into shape, he admitted. The two-race format was very nice since we couldn't stop riding, quickly linking sessions together. Of course, we were lucky not to break anything, but the cars are strong. »

After the Mégane RS RX, Jérôme Grosset-Janin acclimatized well to the Pantera RX6, a new mount available to all Titans RX drivers. The more “brutal” approach desired by the organization was probably convincing.

“They want something authentic. Like others, I have paid the price. But it was thrilling, there are strong things happening on the track. A few things may still need to be adjusted, but the goal of putting the driver at the center of the sport seems successful. We'll have to see in the long term, it's still not much to say after a weekend, but it's promising. », indicated the French pilot.
