Johan Kristoffersson crowned world champion for the third time

Faced with the still delicate health situation around the coronavirus pandemic, the organizers of the final round of the World RX 2020 in Germany, have decided to cancel the event scheduled for December 12 and 13 at the Nürburgring.

A new calendar change which offers the title to Johan Kristoffersson (Volkswagen Polo Supercar – KYB Team JC), since no replacement rounds will be planned.

The Swede, already crowned in 2017 and 2018 after two seasons of clear domination, adds a third crown to his collection and becomes the most successful driver in the discipline by overtaking Petter Solberg, titled in 2014 and 2015.

Kristoffersson, returning to World RX this year after a stint in touring, won three of the six races contested this year, one at each meeting in Sweden, Finland and Latvia.

KYB Team JC pockets the Teams title.
