Kristoffersson takes over Loeb after Q4 in Cape Town

Johan Kristoffersson (Volkswagen) won his third qualifying round after Q3 in Cape Town. The PSRX Volkswagen Sweden driver won the last race by winning ahead of Sébastien Loeb (Peugeot ) author of the 2nd time. Andreas Bakkerud (Audi) followed in 3rd place ahead of Timmy Hansen (Peugeot) and Petter Solberg (Volkswagen), while Kevin Hansen (Peugeot) took 6th time ahead of Mattias Ekström (Audi) and Janis Baumanis (Ford).

Timo Scheider (Seat) and Guerlain Chicherit (Renault) ont complété le Top 10 de la séance devant Timur Timerzyanov (Hyundai) et Niclas Grönholm (Hyundai). Anton Marklund (Renault) n’a réalisé que le 13e chrono après avoir dû passer à deux reprises par le tour joker après avoir fait un faux départ. Les pilotes Olsbergs MSE Kevin Eriksson et Robin Larsson (Ford) ne devancernt que René Münnich (Seat) et Grégoire Demoustier (Peugeot), Oliver Bennett (Mini) n’ayant pas pris le départ suite à un problème de turbo.

Johan Kristoffersson finished at the top of the ranking at the end of the qualifying heats, preceding Sébastien Loeb after having come back well with his 3 consecutive victories. Timmy Hansen (Peugeot) is in 3rd place ahead of Petter Solberg and the Audis of Andreas Bakkerud and Mattias Ekström. Kevin Hansen is in 7th place ahead of Anton Marklund, Janis Baumanis, Timo Scheider and Timur Timerzyanov.

Guerlain Chicherit narrowly qualifies for the semi-final against Niclas Grönholm. Kevin Eriksson failed in 14th place ahead of Robin Larsson, René Münnich, Grégoire Demoustier and Oliver Bennett.

The semi-finals and final of World RX in Cape Town will be broadcast live from 13 p.m. French time on the L'Équipe channel.
