Laboulle and Peu check the competition

At the wheel of his Citroën Xsara WRC, Marc Laboulle quickly posted his status. Dominator of the trials rallycross from Faleyras, Picard then took pole position, the rally leaving doubt only for the places of honor. At the end of the third round, Laboulle saw Jérôme Grosset-Janin (Citroën C4 WRC), David Meslier (Renault Clio II WRC) and Hervé Knapick (Peugeot 207 WRC), Citroën thus confirming its domination. During the race, Laboulle did not lose its advantage, despite having less power than the C4, although heavier. Lap after lap, Picard was able to outrun Grosset-Janin without being worried. The latter no longer being able to fight for first place, he especially had to focus on keeping the second folding seat, coveted by David Meslier, very ready to return to his wheels. In the end, the classification offers the same order as at the start: Laboulle, Meslier, Grosset-Janin. With this second success in three races, Marc Laboulle consolidates his lead in the championship.

In Division 1A, it is Samuel Peu (Citroën Saxo kit car) who does not share the victories. At 27, the Varadais won his third success in three races, after Dreux and Essay. Peu built his victory throughout the weekend, gaining a place in each round to take pole position in the third session. At the start of the race, Samuel Peu was able to keep David Deslandes (Citroën Saxo Super 1600) at bay, increasing his lead lap after lap. Behind, Davy Jeanney made a nice comeback to beat Roman Ferrero and Eric Guillemette. In the end, Peu won ahead of Deslandes, Jeanney and Guillemette.
