Project E enters the scene

The WRX electric support series will have its own championship, starting this year. Modeled on that of the world championship of rallycross, the Projekt E season will not be contested over seven, but over only four rounds: Sweden, Latvia, Belgium and Germany, all on the same dates as those of World RX.

For this first edition, Projekt E will be able to rely on major pilots like Ken Block or Mads Ostberg, experts in the field. The first will start all four rounds in a Ford Fiesta ERC prepared by Stard, while the second will race with the C3 ERX of the Citroën Racing team.

A departure that the latter will ultimately not be able to take. Due to travel restrictions linked to the current health crisis, the Norwegian will not be able to travel to Sweden this weekend. The Citroën Racing driver should be back for the second meeting in Latvia in September.

World RX 2020 Calendar

  • August 22-23: Höljies (Sweden)
  • September 19-20: Riga (Latvia)
  • October 2-4: Spa (Belgium)
  • December 12-13: Nürburgring (Germany)

In France, TV broadcasting will be provided by the L'Équipe channel.
