In view of the 2021 season, the Junior eRX category will experience a number of changes. In addition to the new name, RX2e, the class will change horizons since it will go electric.
Expected for next year, the RX2e car, currently in the development phase, was present for the WRX round in Barcelona last weekend (October 17-18) where it was able to demonstrate.
It was then transported to the Calafat circuit, in the Catalan region, where many drivers took turns to test it. Among them, Johan Kristoffersson, current leader of the world championship of rallycross and in the running for his third title in the category.
« It was my first experience behind the wheel of an electric racing car. It was great. The RX2e promises to be a great springboard to the world championship », declared the main person concerned after his day of driving.

Johan Kristoffersson had a taste of the future of the Supercar category (RX1 from next year) since it will in turn go electric in 2022.
