World RX extends its lease with South Africa

The World Rallycross Championship (World RX) will take place in South Africa until 2021 after a deal was extended.

World RX extends its lease with South Africa

The Killarney International Raceway circuit will once again host the World RX without interruption until the end of 2021. The track located not far from Cape Town (South Africa) will be used by the only world championship to take place in this country on the African continent. .

 

 

“Cape Town has become one of the pillars of the World RX championship, assures Paul Bellamy, Vice President of IMG, the promoter of World RX. It is also one of the most important dates in the South African sporting calendar. »

Cape Town Mayor Ald. Dan Plato expresses the benefits that World RX brings to his city. “Not only is it a showcase for us, but alsot a great contribution to our local economy, for the employment of our fellow citizens and international marketing. »
