The Dubourgs return to Euro RX

The Peugeot 208 WRXs from DA Racing will be back in Euro RX this year with the Dubourg brothers at the wheel. Jean-Baptiste will look to take his revenge after missing out on the title against Robin Larsson last year with just 7 points difference. The four-time winner of the Andros Trophy will thus appear as a favorite, the JC Raceteknik resident headed to World RX.

“I am happy to come back for another full season in Euro RX. The level of the field promises to be very high, comments the vice-champion of Euro RX. My goal is to do better than last year and the coronation will be my priority. The calendar will be very dense with only 5 meetings and there will be no room for error. You will have to be efficient from the first round. We saw last year that points lost at the start of the season are very difficult to recover. »

Jean-Baptiste Dubourg will be able to count on the work done by DA Racing during the winter on the Peugeot 208 WRXs.

“We are focusing on continuity within our technical staff at DA Racing. They worked tirelessly to make many changes to the 208 WRX, adds Jean-Baptiste Dubourg. We optimized the front and rear axles and signed with a new suspension manufacturer. We have good experience on European circuits and I hope that will bring us success. »

Andréa Dubourg will also be one to watch since he has 4 seasons in Euro RX. Although he has not yet won a final, his last European campaign ended with a 4th place in the championship.

The Dubourg brothers may have to be patient. The start of the Euro RX season scheduled for the weekend of May 16 at Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) could be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
