« The hive is in action ". This is how Patrick Germain, president of Ecurie Bretagne & Association Sportive du Rallycross de Lohéac, sums up the situation a few days before the arrival of the elite of world rallycross on its land. Absent from the calendar last season, the Lohéac round is back and is preparing for the big party. “ The technical preparations are generally going well, continues Patrick Germain. There are around thirty people involved who are rehabilitating the circuit, repainting it, mowing the lawn, etc. »

Happy to be able to organize an event again in his venue, the boss of the Breton event is still aware that the conditions will not be those usual. Starting with the public, one of Lohéac's main assets. Covid-19 requires, there will be no more than 10 and at present, this figure is far from being reached. “ Concerning sales, we still have to encourage them. We are limited to 10 people, about a third of what we usually welcome. Our objective is to reach 000% of this gauge. »

Regardless of this constraint, the show will be provided by the main players like the Hansen brothers, Kevin and Timmy, the triple world champion Johan Kristoffersson or the only Frenchman expected in RX1, Hervé Knapick aged 74! “ We have a very nice set, retorts Patrick Germain, delighted to see that everyone responded. Whether in WorldRX or EuroRX, where there are many French drivers entered, and even in RX3 it will be lively. We don't worry about the show. »

Tickets still available

Due to the health situation, the stands of the Breton arena will unfortunately not be full. Patrick Germain makes no secret of the fact that it will be difficult to achieve the objective given the current context. “ We revised the plan in order to be profitable with 6000 spectators, admits the president of Ecurie Bretagne. In order to attract fans, we have clarified that tickets will be refunded in the event of contamination with Covid-19 in order to reassure them. We are also setting up a test center in the circuit to facilitate the task. Access to the paddock remains possible, but controlled with respect for barrier gestures, but this will not prevent them from walking around there.. » Having reached the mark of 5000 tickets sold, the organizers have now decided to open sales on site as well as to sell tickets for Sunday only. With these two new features, they hope to attract more spectators to reach the target figure.
