Patrick Germain: “We must remain measured and cautious”

What does the return of Lohéac to the World RX calendar inspire you?

The news pleases us. This was part of the forecast and it is confirmed. There are still two tests to be defined. There are still some uncertainties concerning certain countries, but it remains a championship with a European dimension.

Lohéac still not considering a race behind closed doors?

Technically, it is not impossible, but there are still constraints such as closing the village. It's complicated to do the weekend while preventing people from the village from coming. And economically speaking, the context does not make things possible. You must remain measured and careful. With the arrival of the new promoter, the financial challenges could be different. You shouldn't dream. We have considerable organizational costs.

What does the future look like?

The situation is still the same (under contract until 2021. Editor’s note). We will have to see what results from the arrival of electric in the premier category (in 2022. Editor's note). The RX2e will be there from 2021. There would therefore only be the European Championship left. We would have to see what importance would be given to it as everyone goes electric.
