That's it ! Johan Kristoffersson is a World RX round winner this season. Victim of various mechanical breakdowns as well as collisions during the first four meetings of the 2021 campaign, the triple world champion can finally enjoy the champagne on the highest step of the podium.
On the front row of the final alongside Niclas Grönholm, the defending champion hit hard at the most important moment: the start. With a perfect reaction to the lights going out, the Swede opened his trajectory to enter the first corner with more speed. A strategy that paid off since his Finnish counterpart was powerless against his attack.
The hardest part, Johan Kristoffersson then left Niclas Grönholm and company no chance to score his first success of the season and the 4th of his career in Riga. In the championship, the Scandinavian is relaunching and is 20 points behind Timmy Hansen who has 130 after his 3rd place this Sunday.
