Timmy Hansen keeps control in Q2 in Abu Dhabi

Timmy Hansen (Peugeot 208) a encore signé le meilleur temps dans la Q2 du World RX sur le circuit Yas Marina à Abou Dhabi. Le Suédois se classe devant Andreas Bakkerud (Audi S1) qu’il a devancé en course. Reinis Nitiss (Audi S1) s’est offert le 3e temps devant Niclas Grönholm (Hyundai i20) et Anton Marklund (Renault Megane RS), also winners of their respective races.

Kevin Hansen (Peugeot 208) finished at the gates of the Top 5 ahead of Rokas Baciuska (Skoda Fabia) and Janis Baumanis (Ford Fiesta). Guerlain Chicherit (Renault Megane RS) finished 9th after being pushed by Janis Baumanis and ranks ahead of Krisztian Szabo (Audi S1) and Timo Scheider (Seat Ibiza).

Pal Try (Ford Fiesta) is credited with the 12th time, but the result could change. The last race offered a curious ending. Then in the lead after the mechanical problem encountered by his teammate Cyril Raymond (Renault Clio RS) despite an oil leak on his mount, Guillaume de Ridder cut the first turn thinking that the event was over. Niclas Grönholm and Anton Marklund complete the Top 5 ahead of Timo Scheider, Reinis Nitiss, Janis Baumanis, Rokas Baciuska and Guerlain Chicherit. Krisztian Szabo and Timur Timerzyanov are the last provisionally qualified, ahead of Liam Doran.
