Timmy Hansen winner of Q4 at Estering

Timmy Hansen (Peugeot ) won Q4 of World RX in Estering (Germany). The Swede escaped in his race where the start slowed down EKS drivers Andreas Bakkerud and Mattias Ekström as well as Petter Solberg (Volkswagen).

The three-time world champion placed 8th, while Bakkerud was closest to the benchmark. The EKS boss-driver finished 4th behind Johan Kristoffersson (Volkswagen) who got the better of Sébastien Loeb (Peugeot) malgré un départ manqué. L’Alsacien a fini 5e devant Niclas Grönholm (Hyundai) et Liam Doran (Renault).

The Top 10 of Q4 was completed by Timur Timerzyanov (Hyundai) and Kevin Hansen (Peugeot). Anton Marklund (Renault) followed in 11th ahead of the Olsbergs MSE Ford Fiesta of Kevin Eriksson and Robin Larsson.

Cyril Raymond (Peugeot) was once again the slowest, the European champion once again spinning. The Frenchman failed behind Guerlain Chicherit (Renault) and Grégoire Demoustier (Peugeot), the GCK boss-driver also spinning after contact.

Johan Kristoffersson finished first in the qualifying heats, ahead of Andreas Bakkerud and Timmy Hansen. Mattias Ekström and Petter Solberg complete the Top 5 ahead of Niclas Grönholm and Kevin Hansen who is ahead of Sébastien Loeb. Anton Marklund and Kevin Eriksson complete the Top 10 ahead of Janis Baumanis (Ford) and Robin Larsson. Guerlain Chicherit and Timur Timerzyanov fail to reach the semi-finals. Cyril Raymond and Liam Doran finished at the bottom of the standings, the “British Bomb” having been disqualified from Q1 for a technical regulations infraction.

The semi-finals will be played from 13 p.m. and will be broadcast from 17 p.m. on the L'Équipe channel.
