Volkswagen presents its 2018 Polo R Supercar

Volkswagen presented its new Polo R Supercar in Wolfsburg (Germany) which will be entered for the 2018 World RX season. After leaving the WRC At the end of 2016, the German manufacturer put the resources into Rallycross by taking the chassis of the Polo. The 2018 version will have an identical base to that of last year with a few changes.

It must be said that the result was convincing since Johan Kristoffersson won the title while Petter Solberg took third place in the Championship.

“The agreement between my PSRX team and Volkswagen Sweden and Volkswagen Motorsport came very late, but we have achieved immense success. For his part, Johan Kristofferson optimized his preparation by competing in the Rally from Sweden on a Skoda Fabia R5. The Swede clearly intends to retain his coronation this year.

“The last World RX event in South Africa (in Cape Town on November 11 and 12) seems like an eternity ago, recognizes the Scandinavian.
