World RX – 18 Supercars for Barcelona Opener

In less than a month, the World RX peloton will return to competition on the Catalan track. For the occasion, 18 Supercars, including the 15 entered for the year, will compete on the track to start a 2018 season which once again promises a lot of spectacle.

The world champion Johan Kristoffersson will begin the defense of his title and will once again be aligned within the PSRX VW Sweden alongside Petter Solberg.

The main opponents of the holders of the world crowns should be called Audi – EKS RX, with the tandem Mattias Ekström – Andreas Bakkerud, the latter coming from Hoonigan Racing Division, and Team Peugeot Total with Sébastien Loeb and Timmy Hansen.

Olsbergs MSE, de retour au niveau mondial avec les Ford Fiesta de Robin Larsson et Kevin Eriksson, GRX Team et les Hyundai i20 de Niclas Grönholm et Timu Timerzyanov, ou encore les Ford Fiesta – Team Stard de Janis Baumanis et du nouveau venu Ma Qing Hua, visent à s’immiscer dans la lutte pour intégrer les phases finales.

In the French clan, the Renault Megane RS RX – GCK of Guerlain Chicherit and Jérôme Grosset-Janin hope to create a surprise for their debut. Grégoire Demoustier will be lined up in a Peugeot 208, operated by Sébastien Loeb Racing.

Hervé Knapick will also be there with a Citroën DS3. A Mini RX will also be in action with Oliver Bennett.

The Euro RX will also open in Catalonia with a strong French colony, made up of Andrea Dubourg (Peugeot 208), Florent Béduneau (Peugeot 208), Rodolphe Audran (Peugeot 208), Patrick Guillerme (Peugeot 208) and Jean- Baptiste Dubourg (Renault Clio).
