World RX – Audi gets involved with EKS

After stopping your program in WEC, Audi Sport will focus on the World RX which will complement its commitments in Formula E and DTM. The manufacturer at the Rings will officially support Mattias Ekström's EKS team, which caused a sensation by winning the Drivers and Teams titles last year.

Audi shares the Swede's opinion even if the German manufacturer suffered from "Dieselgate" like the other manufacturers belonging to the Volkswagen Group.

“We realized that it was going to be extremely difficult for EKS to face the official teams and we chose to strengthen our commitment in World RX”, added Audi Motorsport Director Dieter Gass.

Audi is the 4th manufacturer officially entered in World RX with Ford, Peugeot et Volkswagen now associated with PSRX, the structure of Petter Solberg.
