World RX – Dubourg without pressure in Lohéac

Alongside Timmy Hansen and Petter Solberg, Jean-Baptiste Dubourg created a small sensation last year by getting on the podium of the French round of the World Championship of Rallycross in Lohéac in Brittany.

With the two main protagonists of the last World RX, the DA Racing driver delivered a top-notch performance, a moment that remains engraved in his mind as he approaches the 2016 edition.

The DS3 Supercar driver will, however, present himself without pressure of results this year, well aware of the quality of the field. “Obviously, I can't talk about the Lohéac rallycross without thinking of my third place last year, comments Dubourg.

Of course, we are in the FIA World Championship, the level has evolved considerably since last year and the bar is now very high to reach the semi-final, we all know that.

This season is special for me, I'm not competing in a full championship so I'm driving without any pressure, on the contrary I'm going to return to a circuit which gave me one of the best moments in motorsport and that brings pressure. positive before starting the race of the year. »

For this, Jean-Baptiste Dubourg will be able to count on a mount on which DA Racing has looked in depth since the last Girondin race. “My last race was in May for the first round of the FIA European Rallycross Championship.

Since then, with DA Racing, we have taken advantage of this long break to continue to develop and make the DS 3 DAR more reliable particularly in terms of running gear and ground connections. Today, we can say that we have reached an interesting level of competition which confirms that the work carried out by the DA Racing technical staff is going in the right direction. »

Jean-Baptiste Dubourg will also play alongside his partner Adeline Sangnier, who will make her debut on the world stage in France.
