Mattias Ekström leads World RX at Hockenheim after the qualifying heats. Sébastien Loeb is also qualified.

World RX – Ekström wins qualifying

Mattias Ekström (Audi S1) finished first after the four qualifying rounds of the World RX in Hockenheim (Germany). The Swede who also competes in the first round of the DTM finished ahead of Johan Kristoffersson (Volkswagen Polo) while Timmy Hansen (Peugeot 208) completes the top three ahead of Toomas Heikkinen (Audi S1) and Janis Baumanis (Ford Fiesta).

Davy Jeanney (208) took sixth place ahead of Petter Solberg (DS 3), who lost several positions after being caught in an accident during the last round, and Sébastien Loeb (208). Ken Block (Ford Focus) qualified 13th.

Jean-Baptiste Dubourg failed to qualify for the semi-finals. The DA Racing driver who was driving his new DS 3 finished in 17th place.

The World RX races at Hockenheim will be followed tomorrow live from 10 a.m. on L'Équipe 21.
