World RX – François Duval present in Mettet with Albatec Racing

Accustomed to one-off appearances on the world stage in Rallycross, François Duval will return to the World RX games on May 13 and 14 on the Jules Tacheny circuit in Mettet.

The former resident of Citroën Racing in WRC will pilot a Peugeot 208 Supercar from the British team Albatec Racing, after having shone in 2016 in its home event with a Ford Fiesta, with a fifth place at the end of the Belgian weekend.

“I certainly won’t have a factory Peugeot 208 like Sébastien’s Loeb and his teammates, but it's a good car and I will give my best to his steering wheel, underlines François Duval.

The level of the World Rallycross Championship continues to rise. The manufacturers are more and more involved and the opponents that I will meet are drivers who obviously have a lot more training and who are more in the rhythm than me. »

The Belgian will carry out tests as a preamble to the event, and also hopes to be able to count on a little help from heaven. “I will have half a day of testing before the event to get to grips with the car and, to tell the truth, I hope that the weather conditions will not be too good because that would allow the performances of all to be leveled out a little. cars.

Afterwards, in Rallycross more than elsewhere, you always need a little success and I hope that it will be on my side. »
