World RX – Heikkinen joins Team EKS
There was still one place to be filled on the starting grid for the World Championship. Rallycross 2016 within Team EKS. Finally, it is the Finn Toomas Heikkinen, a resident of Team Marklund's Volkswagen Polo in 2015, who will officiate in the Audi S1 alongside boss-driver Mattias Ekström.
“I think EKS is a good group of people and one of the most professional teams in World RX. Mattias has been a good friend of mine since 2013 when we both competed in the X-Games. Our goal is the same: we both want to win races. » admits Heikkinen.
The 24-year-old driver will test his new bike in the coming days before starting the season on the weekend of April 16 and 17 in Montalegre, Portugal.
