World RX – Johan Kristoffersson beats Sébastien Loeb at Lohéac

In humid conditions in Brittany, Johan Kristoffersson (Volkswagen Polo GTi – PSRX VW Sweden) imposed its law in the final on the Lohéac track. The leader of the world championship, who remained on three consecutive victories in Norway, Sweden and Canada, showed himself the strongest in the final this Sunday in Ille-et-Vilaine to sign his fourth success in a row in World RX , a first in the discipline.

The Swede won in the final ahead of Sébastien Loeb (Peugeot 208 WRX – Team Peugeot-Hansen) and Mattias Ekström (Audi S1 ​​– EKS RX). Andreas Bakkerud (Ford Focus RS RX – Hoonigan Racing Division) fails at the foot of the podium and is ahead of Petter Solberg (Volkswagen Polo GTi – PSRX VW Sweden), victim of a puncture, and who was unable to fully defend his chances in this final confrontation.

 

 

Timmy Hansen (Peugeot 208 WRX – Team Peugeot-Hansen), winner of the second semi-final, was unsuccessful in the final, victim of a gearbox problem on his car, while a podium was in sight for the Swede. In the championship, Kristoffersson widens the gap further, with 241 points against 195 for Petter Solberg, 180 for Mattias Ekström and 169 for Sébastien Loeb.

In RX2, Cyril Raymond, winner in the final, won the first title awarded in the category.
