World RX – Imperial Kristoffersson, Loeb on the podium in Canada

Dominant after the qualifying heats, Johan Kristoffersson (Volkswagen Polo GTi – PSRX VW Sweden) left no chance to his rivals during the final stages of the Trois-Rivières event in Canada.

Winner of his semi-final, the Swede took advantage of his pole position to beat his teammate Petter Solberg at the first corner of the final. The order thus established did not evolve until the checkered flag between the two Polo GTi.

Kristoffersson wins his third consecutive race in World RX, the fourth of the season and thus increases his lead in the championship with 211 points against 176 for Petter Solberg who returns to the podium after two rounds finished in seventh position in Norway and Sweden.

Author of an excellent start having propelled him to fourth position from sixth place, Sébastien Loeb (Peugeot 208 WRX – Team Peugeot-Hansen) took advantage of the technical problems of his teammate Timmy Hansen to recover the last step of the podium, his third in a row in the discipline.

Kevin Eriksson (Ford Fiesta – MJP Racing Team Austria) and Toomas Heikkinen (Audi S1 – EKS RX) finished 4th and 5th ahead of the unfortunate Hansen. Note the victory of Cyril Raymond in RX2.
