World RX – The Kristoffersson surprise in Montalegre
Johan Kristoffersson is making a flamboyant debut in World RX since he has just won the first round of the season in the rain in Montalegre (Portugal). The Swede took the advantage reigning World Champion Petter Solberg in the final, the reigning world champion being hampered by fogging on his windshield.
The SDRX DS3 Supercar driver retained 2nd place ahead of the Peugeot by Timmy Hansen and Davy Jeanney, the Swede climbing onto the last step of the podium ahead of the Frenchman who is making a promising debut with Team Peugeot-Hansen. Andreas Bakkerud (Olsbergs MSE) completes the top five ahead of PG Andersson (Marklund Motorsport).
