The Portuguese track was to receive the World Cup competitors, but also those of the RX2 and the Euro RX S 1600 on the weekend of May 2 and 3. “Following the decision of the Portuguese government to establish a state of emergency and to suspend all sporting events in light of the Covid-19 epidemic, the meeting is postponed,” indicates the organizers' press release.
This postponement was decided after close consultation between the FIA, the National Motorsport Federation and the event organizers, as the health and safety of all participants remains the priority.
We are studying a backup date in agreement with the organizers. » The World RX will therefore not start before Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium), on May 16 and 17.
