World RX – Scott father and son reunited in Istanbul

Marc Scott will make his world debut next week, replacing Jacques Villeneuve at the wheel of his Peugeot 208 Supercar on Istanbul Park (Turkey) in the team of his father, Andy Scott, driver boss of the Scottish structure lacking success last weekend in Franciacorta (Italy) where Petter Solberg won the title. Aged 28, Marc Scott already has two British Championship titles to his credit. Rallycross in the RX150 category and discovered the Supercars category last year during the final round of the Championship at Croft where he drove his father's old 306 in which he finished in fifth position.

“I’m really looking forward to making my World RX debut in Istanbul alongside my dad”, comments Marc Scott. “After two successful seasons in RX150, I feel it is time to progress to Supercar. Even though I only raced with the old 306 last year, I have already tested the 208 and I think I can put in a good performance in front of an enthusiastic crowd. I don't feel any pressure because I know what I'm capable of and I know the potential of the car. »

The father is also convinced that Marc Scott is ready to play in the big leagues. “Marc made an impressive Supercar debut last year at Croft and I'm confident he will be a strong performer. It's obviously disappointing not to have Jacques (Villeneuve) with us, but I'm sure to have with Marc a pilot full of experience, focused, dedicated and fast who wants to highlight the capabilities of Albatec who can place both cars in the final. »
