World RX – Liam Doran anxious before Lydden Hill

Liam Doran did not have a sparkling start to the season at Montalegre where the inaugural round of World RX took place since the Monster Energy World RX Team resident did not pick up a single point. Already 29 points behind Championship leader Petter Solberg, the Briton knows he must recover this weekend at Lydden Hill where he will play at home.

“We have done so much work since Portugal”, comments the driver of the Citroën DS3 n°33 who completed two days of testing in Essay (France). “This session went well. My teammate Krzysztof (Shorupski) had a lot of rolling and I only did around twenty laps. He needs to spend time in the car. We drove with the engines used in the race and I wanted to drive as little as possible with them. We just checked with my car that we were working fine. »

If the pressure is mounting for the local driver from Lydden Hill, he remains cautious about his chances of success this weekend. “I'm not really overflowing with confidence. We are ready but I have never had good results on this circuit in the European Championships and I keep that in mind when I come back to ride here. The competition will also be tough this weekend but it's great for the discipline. »
