World RX – Loeb to stay with Peugeot in 2018

Peugeot confirmed the presence of Sébastien Loeb in World RX for 2018, thereby indicating that the Lion would continue to compete in the World RX Championship Rallycross.

If the teammates of the nine-time champion WRC have not yet been confirmed for next year, the Sochaux manufacturer maintains its interest in the discipline.

“The presence of the Peugeot 208 is fully justified in a spectacular and telegenic championship which offers international visibility to the know-how of the Peugeot-Hansen team”, explains the Lion press release.

Peugeot Sport specified that it was working with the promoters of World RX, the company IMG, to bring the discipline to all continents.

The French manufacturer is also closely interested in the creation of an electric category, the E-WRX, “as part of its technological plan which aims to offer 80% of models in an electrified version by 2023”.
