World RX – Olsbergs MSE will field two new Fords

Olsbergs MSE is back in World RX with a new Ford Fiesta. Andreas Eriksson's Swedish structure will field two cars for Kevin Eriksson, the boss's son, and Robin Larsson. The two Swedes are also present this Wednesday in Lohéac (Ille-et-Vilaine) for the first official tests of the year.

« It was time for us to develop a new car because the old Ford was from 2010 and we couldn't continue to make changes to it forever., Andreas Eriksson told AUTOweekly. We are in a discovery phase with the car, but the change in track conditions makes learning complicated. We have gaps of two seconds per lap on each test. »

Olsbergs MSE also brought its Honda Civic which was rampant in GRC until the team withdrew at the end of the year. Robin Larsson, who was still behind the wheel of an Audi A1 last year, took the wheel before continuing the tests with the Ford which also adopted, like the Volkwagen Polo and the Audi S1 ​​quattro, the same livery “camouflage” for testing.

His new teammate Kevin Eriksson, winner in Estering (Germany) in 2016 with the family team after an incredible maneuver in the final, returns to his old structure after playing last year with MJP Racing Team Austria.

“We don't have much experience with the new Ford Fiesta yet, but first impressions are very positive,” recognized the boss's son.

Olsbergs MSE is not fielding the Honda Civic at the Lohéac tests by chance. The structure which notably manages the RX2 now offers for rental and sale the Civic and the Fiesta, eligible for World RX, Euro RX and RallyX Nordic.
