World RX – Petter Solberg champion in Rosario

Petter Solberg (DS 3) only needed to reach the semi-finals in Rosario (Argentina) to secure a second consecutive World RX title.

The Norwegian was able to take third place in the very lively final due to an excessively watered track in places trapping several drivers including Timmy Hansen (Peugeot 208) who abandoned with his younger brother Kevin (Ford Fiesta) who made a very promising debut in Supercar.

It was Robin Larsson (Audi A1) who won the last event of the season after having several contacts with his opponents. The Swede energetically resisted his compatriot Mattias Ekström (Audi S1) and made the difference by approaching the joker lap with caution.
