World RX – Sébastien Loeb: “It’s frustrating”

Tenth in the second meeting of the World Championship Rallycross at Hockenheim last weekend, Sébastien Loeb was unable to materialize in the German lair, after reaching the final in Montalegre in Portugal at the opening of the season.

The Team driver Peugeot -Hansen nevertheless felt that he had made further progress in learning the discipline. “There are positive points, the performance is there, but the result is not what I wanted to obtain,” explains the Alsatian. I'm still in a bit of a learning phase but I don't want to waste time along the way. I want big points and good results! »

The former king of the planet WRC also admitted not having much luck with the draw. “I imagine that over the season as a whole, it balances out, but I wasn't necessarily very lucky on this one. I started my first series on the outside and carried it through to Q3. I think that made me lose points and therefore places. It's also up to me to be able to better find the opening in traffic.

I feel good in the car, I'm having fun and I'm getting off to a good start... But I want more. I could say I'm still learning about the RX, and I am, but I'm on track to fight for first place. This is my long-term goal and I can't just lose points on the front runners. Everything goes very quickly in rallycross, so we might as well reverse the trend quickly. That’s good, the next round in Mettet will take place this weekend! »
