WorldRX – PG Andersson joins the peloton in Germany

The German round of the World Championship Rallycross, which will be contested on September 20 and 21 on the Estering track, will see the return to competition of the Swede Per-Gunnar Andression. Notably known for having won the Junior twice WRC in 2004 and 2007, before taking part in the Suzuki adventure in 2008, Andersson had taken a step back for almost a year.

“I was away from motorsport for about a year. I was very busy with my work, my family. Then I got the call from Peter Hedstrom and I thought it was a great opportunity. I have seen how the popularity of rallycross, with the arrival of WorldRX, has grown and I would love to participate regularly next year. The level of the teams and drivers is very high so it won't be easy to fight for one of the top places in Germany, but I'm going to give it my all and see what happens. Last week I raced in the final of the Swedish Rallycross Championship in Solvalla as a test. We had a few issues, but it looks like everything is sorted now. Before Germany we will have another test and I hope to have a good feeling in the car then. »
declares the Swede.

It is within the Hedstroms Motorsport team that Andersson will compete in Germany on a Skoda Fabia Supercar. He will be the 100th driver to take part in a WorldRX round this season.
