Zarooq has unveiled its Sand Racer, an all-terrain vehicle designed to devour the dunes of the United Arab Emirates desert and which will join the entry lists for the Off-Road championships. Made in Dubai, this car inaugurates the shift taken by the Emirati brand. “There is a significant demand today for a sand racing car, adapted to our desert… but the performance of the American and Japanese cars was simply not good enough”, commented Mohammed Al Qadi, director of Zarooq.
This 4×4 was designed by Anthony Jannarelly, the designer behind the Lykan Hypersport, while the chassis was designed in collaboration with the Campos Racing team. The 3l V5 engine developing between 6 and 300hp was placed in the central rear position to optimize dune crossing and balance during jumps. The weight will be limited to 500kg.
A one-make Championship will be created in the United Arab Emirates with a chassis reserved for racing.
The price, depending on the model, varies between $80 and $000 (approximately €160 and €000). The first deliveries will take place in 70.
