The Dakar has moved away from its Parisian base for several years, but the show Rétromobile will be an opportunity to reconnect with the French capital for the most legendary of rally-raids. Indeed, an exceptional exhibition of cars and motorcycles that have marked the history of the Dakar will be offered for the first time as part of the Porte de Versailles meeting at Paris Expo.

From January 31 to February 4, visitors to the 48th edition of Rétromobile will be able to get up close to legendary models like the Porsche 959 by Jacky Ickx, the Peugeot 405 Grand Raid by Ari Vatanen (be careful not to steal it as was the case in Africa in 1988...), the Renault 4L of the Marreau brothers or the Nissan X-Trail of Johnny Halliday and René Metge.

To this will be added a few motorcycles like the Yamaha 500

The modern version of the event organized by ASO will not be forgotten, with the presence (very rare on French soil) of the Audi RS Q e-tron E2 hybrid winner with Carlos Sainz and Lucas Cruz two weeks ago. Alongside the German 4×4, the public will discover a preview of the Dacia that Sébastien will drive Loeb and Cristina Gutiérrez during the 2025 Dakar!

The machines will be celebrated, but also the men who wrote the legend of the Dakar. On stand 1 F013 in hall 1 of Rétromobile, several renowned drivers will take turns to deliver their juicy anecdotes from the desert, before taking part in the game of selfies and autographs.

As for “Monsieur Dakar”, you will have to come to the Dakar Exhibition, located on the footbridge connecting halls 1 and 2, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. to meet him and his navigator Édouard Boulanger.
