This is a big step forward in the development of the engines of the future that Oreca should take in a few months. By the end of the first quarter of the year, the Signes structure (Var) will upgrade one of its test benches in order to test “ hydrogen technology engines on behalf of manufacturers, promoters or private teams."

« From March 2022, Oreca will be able to switch to the hydrogen technology engine bench on a BORGHI machine with a capacity of 800 HP and 1000 Nm, explains Vincent Garreau, project director of Oreca Magny-Cours. Thanks to synergy between our latest generation combustion analysis tools, our Design Office and our combustion simulation partners, the entire team is enthusiastic about the idea of developing the engines of tomorrow. »

Although designed for its own projects, Oreca Magny-Cours intends to make its test bench available “ of the company's main partners and customers in order to support them in their achievements linked to this new technology."

In addition, the French structure “ is already working on a future technology engine hydrogen which will be able to equip the vehicles of Dakar competitors in the years to come » as part of the “Dakar Future” program.
