In the 1980s and 1990s, followers of the World Rally Championship knew which brand to bet on to win the Kenya Safari: Toyota. Victorious seven times between 1984 and 1994, the Japanese manufacturer gained the advantage over its opponents thanks to slower, but much more robust, vehicles.
