Desafío Ruta 40 – A unique route revealed for the 12th edition

For this 12^e edition, the organization of Desafío Ruta 40 (1^er-June 7) decided to innovate. After La Rioja, Belén (Catamarca) and Salta in 2023, the event contested in Argentina will be entitled to a new route.

If it remains unchanged at the level of steps (5), the 4^e round of the 2024 W2RC season will be relocated. From now on, the Desafío Ruta 40 will be organized around the city of Córdoba, the place where the Prologue and the departure ceremony will be organized, as well as the arrival this year.

The first stage will also be a loop of the capital of the eponymous province (June 3), the day after the Prologue. The competitors will then leave Córdoba to reach San Juan (June 4), and a new loop around the city (June 5). The next stage will take the riders to La Rioja (June 6) before returning to Córdoba (June 7) for the final outing of the week.
