René Rast's title in DTM

À 31 ans, René Rast s’est distingué dans l’histoire du DTM, le championnat allemand des voitures de tourisme. En octobre, le pilote Audi est devenu le premier homme à décrocher le titre dès sa première année complète dans la compétition. Une performance qui ne tombe pas du ciel. Triple champion de Porsche Supercup, René Rast avait remporté les 24 Heures de Spa-Francorchamps (Belgique) en 2012. En 2017, il est venu à bout des experts du DTM tels que Mattias Ekström ou Jamie Green, alors qu’il pointait à la 3e place avant la dernière épreuve à Hockenheim. (view article)

The Saintéloc winner of the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps

L’équipe Saintéloc Racing, basée à Saint-Étienne, a fait honneur à son statut d’écurie soutenue par Audi Sport aux dernières 24 Heures de Spa. Au terme d’une lutte intense avec les Bentley de M-Sport et ou la Mercedes-AMG du Team AKKA-ASP, l’Audi R8 LMS GT3 du trio Jules Gounon – Markus Winkelhock – Christopher Haase sortait vainqueur du double tour d’horloge dans les Ardennes. Comme souvent, les incidents n’ont pas manqué dans une épreuve où le niveau de compétitivité augmente année après année. Ce succès permettait à Markus Winkelhock d’être titré en Intercontinental GT Challenge en fin de saison. (view article)
