In search of a first victory this season, Samuel Peu (Peugeot 208) is in the lead after the first two qualifying heats. Winner at Châteauroux, Romuald Delaunay (DS 3) moved up to second place after a fourth fastest time during Q1. The Normand driver is ahead of Laurent Bouliou (Peugeot 208). David Meslier (DS 3) and Emmanuel Galivel (Citroën C4) complete the Top 5 of this first day.
Back with a Renault Twingo 2 Super1600, Dylan Dufas takes the measure of the Super1600 category with provisional first place ahead of Jimmy Terpereau (Citroën C2), always formidable at Essay. After a first round at 0, Anthony Paillardon (Skoda Fabia) took Q2 to get back on the provisional podium ahead of David Moulin (Dacia Sandero) and Nicolas Eouzan (Renault Twingo 2).
The gaps are small for the Juniors behind the wheel of the Clio RSR RX. Edgard Maloigne and Tom Le Jossec both lead with the same number of points. They will have to be wary of Baptiste Pannissié and Luc Derrien, placed in the wake of the leaders. Winner of the opening round in Indre, David Bouet is content with a provisional fifth place after this first day.
On home soil, Alizée Pottier (Twingo R1 RX) took the lead in the Coupe de France Féminine ahead of Camille Barbe (Twingo R1 RX), fastest in Q1. Coraline Hautbois (Twingo R1 RX) climbs onto the provisional podium. Amélie Moliexe (Twingo R1 RX) and Marine Danveau (Twingo R1 RX) did not say their last word by completing the “major five” of this first part of qualifying.
Benoît Morel (Ford Fiesta) demonstrates that he is the strong man of the Coupe de France Division 3 by dominating the two qualifying rounds. Anthony Pelfrene (Renault Clio) confirms his good results from Châteauroux with provisional third place behind Cyril Coué (VW Polo). At the wheel of their Peugeot 208, Nicolas Bezard and Laurent Lourdeaux remain in contact with the Top 3.
Jean-François Blaise (Renault Clio 4), Jean-Mickaël Guérin (Peugeot 206 RC) and Christophe Barbier (DS 3) share first place after the two qualifying rounds, contested today. Sébastien Le Ferrand (Peugeot 208) and Tony Bardeau (Honda Civic) are a few points behind.
With the weather still uncertain this Sunday, the final qualifying heats, scheduled from 9 a.m., will prove decisive for the final phases.
