Of the 815 km of today's stage between Ufa and Kostanay in Kazakhstan, Peugeot once again dominated his rivals. After Stéphane Peterhansel's honorary victory on the opening super-special in Kazan, it's Cyril Despres who was the fastest throughout the 200 km against the clock on the program for this third day of the 2016 Silk Way Rally.
The driver of the Peugeot 2008 DKR16 n°104 finishes in 1h56'45 and precedes Yazeed Al-Rahji's Mini ALL2 X-Raid by 40'4" and Sébastien by 4'14" Loeb (Peugeot). Vladimir Vasilyev (Mini), pointé à 5’15 » et Evgeny Firsov (Toyota), classé à 6’37 », complètent le top 5 du jour. Moins de réussite pour Stéphane Peterhansel. Le leader du classement général à l’entame de l’étape, a perdu 9′ ce lundi suite à une double crevaison.
In the general classification, Cyril Despres logically takes the lead of the Silk Way Rally with 2'37" ahead of Al-Rahji and 4'10" over Sébastien Loeb. 855 km are on the program for tomorrow's stage, with 354 km against the clock.
