At the end of a timed section shortened due to bad weather conditions, not allowing the helicopters to take off, victory on the sixth stage of the Silk Way Rally went to the American Damen Scot Jefferies on his Jefferies buggy.
On a course reduced to 111 km, Jefferies is ahead by 1'28", Stephane Peterhansel (Peugeot ), left after his barrels yesterday and a long work of the Lion mechanics, and Sébastien Loeb, third this Thursday at 1'46”.
Leader this morning, Cyril Despres (Peugeot) gives up 8'08" but retains control of the rally with 8'00" on Loeb and 9'50" on Vladimir Vasilyev's Mini. The competitors will benefit from the rest day tomorrow before heading towards the last kilometers in Kazakhstan and the passage to China, at the end of the seventh stage on Saturday.
