Stéphane Peterhansel wins the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge

The matter seemed almost settled after yesterday's stage. By securing 5th place in the fifth stage more than 13′ from the winner Jakub Przygonski (Mini JCW Buggy), Stephane Peterhansel and his wife Andrea imposed their Mini JCW Rally on the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, second event of the World Cup Rally-Raids 2019.

Peterhansel is ultimately ahead of Khalid Al Qassimi, co-driven on the Peugeot 3008 DKR by Xavier Panseri, 8'48" and Aron Domzala (Toyota) 46'16". The top 5 is completed by Casey Currie and Reinaldo Varela (Can Am Maverick X3).

Logically placed among the favorites for this event, Vladimir Vasilyev (BMW) and Cyril Despres (Mini JCW Buggy) only finished 6th and 8th.
